Events

• Carnival time in the upper valley of the Great St. Bernard :
  Fat Thursday and Friday, Etroubles,
  Saturday before Lent, Saint-Oyen
  Sunday and Mardi Gras, Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses
• June 29th: celebrations for the Saints Peter and Paul with a bonfire in the village of Saint-Oyen in Prenoud hamlet. Music will cheer the evening and they set up a stand with delicacies for all the participants.
• in July : Doues hosts the Festival of Polenta and the usual 24 hour long 6-a-side football event.
• in July, in Valpelline it takes place the Festival of "Seupa Vapelenentse "
• in August : Festival of Barbecued Jambon in Saint-Oyen
• in August in Oyace there is the Festival of the Fontina cheese
• in August : Gignod hosts the Festival of Teteun (spicy cow's udder served in slices)
• in August : Allein there is the usual Fëta di Trifolle
• in December : Marché de Noël, Foire du Grand Combin, a small Christmas market in Saint-Oyen
• in December : candlelight on the snow at the Snow Park Flassin ( Saint-Oyen )
